By registering for, accessing, or using Tutify, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

2. Platform Description

Tutify is an online marketplace that connects students with tutors for educational services. We provide the platform for these connections but are not a party to the actual tutoring arrangements or agreements between students and tutors.

3. User Accounts

Registration:

• You must be at least 18 years old to register as a tutor. Students under 18 must have parental/guardian consent.
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

Account Termination:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the platform.

4. Tutor Responsibilities

As a tutor, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about your qualifications and experience
• Upload valid ID proof for verification
• Pay the required onboarding fee
• Conduct yourself professionally in all interactions
• Deliver quality educational services as agreed with students
• Respect student privacy and confidentiality
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

5. Student Responsibilities

As a student, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information in your learning requirements
• Treat tutors with respect and professionalism
• Attend scheduled sessions or provide adequate notice of cancellations
• Honor payment commitments made with tutors
• Provide honest feedback about tutor performance

6. Payments and Fees

Platform Fees:

• Students can use the platform for free to post requirements and connect with tutors
• Tutors must pay a one-time onboarding fee for verification and platform access
• All platform fees are non-refundable except as stated in our Refund Policy

Tutoring Fees:

• Tutoring fees are arranged directly between students and tutors
• Tutify is not responsible for payment disputes between students and tutors
• Payment terms and methods should be agreed upon before starting regular sessions

7. Demo Sessions and Matching

• Demo sessions are provided to allow students to evaluate tutor compatibility
• Students may try demos with multiple recommended tutors
• Match scores are algorithmic recommendations and not guarantees of compatibility
• Final tutor selection is at the student's discretion

8. Prohibited Activities

Users may not:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Use the platform for illegal activities
• Attempt to bypass security measures or access unauthorized areas
• Share account credentials with others
• Use automated tools to scrape or collect platform data
• Circumvent the platform to conduct transactions outside our system

9. Intellectual Property

All content on Tutify, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Tutify or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations

Platform Service:

• Tutify provides the platform "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• We are not responsible for tutor qualifications, teaching quality, or learning outcomes
• We are not a party to agreements between students and tutors

Limitation of Liability:

Tutify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or interactions with other users.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or use of the platform shall be governed by the laws of India. Users agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation before pursuing legal action.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
